So i have been staring at my keyboard for about 20 minutes now and i know what i want to write but its a topic that not many want to talk about. It is often put off to the side of brushed off as nothing. This topic is suicide and depression. Too often do we hear of these words but not completely understand it. There is a certain stigma that comes along with both of these things. As a functioning human being with depression i can say that it isn't always easy. It has its ups and downs but, regardless of the time i always make sure i keep myself happy.
Yes, in life you have to do things you don't want to do weather its go to class or even get out of bed for the day but, the best thing in the world is to keep yourself happy. What makes me happy may be completely different then what makes you happy but i have some recommendations. Music. Music has been the biggest positive influence in my life. Just put in your ear buds or crank up your stereo and jam! It is the best stress reliever. Painting is also another outlet i use. Hey, I'm no artist but i can draw a darn good flower! It always helps me channel my negative or positive energy and create something beautiful on a canvas. One last tip is to surround yourself with those whom you truly love and care about. That is the best feeling to me. When you are with the people you care about.
