I have this friend who asked for my help. He confided in me that he has been feeling attacked at our lunch table by the jokes our "friends" would make. He also claimed it had been pretty rough at home lately. Well, I love this guy like a brother so I talked with him and told him to start from wherever he would like and to explain in as much detail as possible. He agreed and began to spill everything. Now the thing is, it's often easy to listen to the problems of others and give them some mechanisms to use to cope, but often times those methods don't work for ourselves. Helping others feels rather simple for me, but helping myself is another story.
If you're ever struggling, don't be afraid to seek a little help or someone to vent to. No problem is too big or too small. Surround yourself with a wall of support that will always protect you. As a community we should always do our very best to care about others and listen to their story without judgement. Judgement is harsh and there's enough in the world as it is, don't contribute to the growing problem.
This is one of our new self-help resources available to our Ambassador community. Here we will feature the thoughts, questions, and insight of the our fellow Ambassadors. You can even leave comments of encouragement or feedback to fellow Ambassadors that may be having a tough time.
