So I’ve been thinking this week. What does it mean to be strong? I’m sure everyone has seen big, toned, body-builders who all they do each day is work-out. I'm not saying it’s wrong, I’m just saying that being strong isn't about how much weight you lift. It's about how much pressure you lift. Pressure as in the social aspect of it.
There are so many things that effect the amount of pressure that we put on ourselves. Some of these things are what clothes to wear, what/how many sports you play, and etc. But what I have learned over the course of my entire schooling is that we cannot let those things effect the way we live our lives. As humans we have a tendency to do things that may make other happy but not ourselves.
What I am saying is that you do not need to be what others want you to be. Yes, sometimes doing what they say may make you happy for a short time but then after you will feel regret or shame for being so narrow minded as to listen to what some knuckle head would say. You have got to be your own person and you have to be different and even though sometimes you may feel out of place, you will always know that you are who you want to be. You have to make yourself immune to the social quotas and be the person you were made to be. Although, some may not agree with your choice, you will always know that you will be foreverU.
