You know that feeling of disappointment when you’re reading a book you are really into and reach the end of it? Then as you finish closing the book, you realize it had an awful ending or a cliffhanger, leaving you thinking what’s next? We feel like the book is unfinished or there must be something
Think of this scenario as your life. From the moment we were born, each and every day has been a new chapter of our lives. Your life is one big chapter book when you really think about it. Look at your life any way you would like, but it makes sense. You’re the author of this story. You control
what goes in the story. You control the setting, the characters, the plots, EVERYTHING.
Now look at it this way. When we antagonize those innocent individuals, we become the antagonists in their story. Why do we feel the need to work our way into someone else’s story or life. I can promise you that they didn’t plan for you to be making a negative impact in their life. We have to
understand that no matter how many times we emotionally affect someone, whether it’s physical, verbal, or through the internet, that we’re creating a complication in their life. We are preventing them from living out their story.
In what way are you living your story? Are you more worried about getting into someone else’s story by making their life hell, or do whatever you can to make your life a “best seller.” We should learn to live a life that will be remembered by many. Whether it was the countless times we reached out to others in need, helped your friend through the death of a parent, went above and beyond to focus on the good in life and show others their purpose. These are ways our lives will be remembered. Do good. Love each other. There’s no reason we need to judge each other, label a person as someone their not, physically hurt someone, verbally harass someone. They have a story just like you, let them live it.
A lot of the time we are the characters that don’t play a big role in someone’s story and don’t even realize it. For those of us that reach out and live our lives out of love and good are the hero in someone else’s life. Heroes are made when you decide to do what is right. By doing such a small
gesture or action, you can be the motivation and rescue someone needed to continue living their lives.
If you struggle living out your story, trust me when I say that the challenges that come across in your life and prevent you from living your incredible story, only make your story so much better than everyone else’s. How? Well the most inspiring stories are those about individuals who got knocked off their feet. Then in their weakest stages of life, they found hope, found a purpose and made an impact on the world. That’s your story. Your story matters. With your story, you can change someone else’s life for the better. You can bring hope and shine a light for those that are blind and don’t know what way to turn. There’s a reason you go through these negative stages. You may not have an answer in this chapter, but maybe a few chapters from now, you will
Don’t prevent someone from living out their story.
Most importantly, don’t leave your story unfinished.
